Orlando Doula, founded in 1990 by Dianne Clark, is a collective of certified birth doulas serving the Orlando and Space Coast areas. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, encouraging, knowledgeable, wholehearted support to mothers and families during pregnancy, through labor and birth, and the postpartum period. Our goal is for you to have a joyful, positive birth experience where you feel respected, safe, and empowered. We walk alongside you as a member of the birth team to help you navigate this process, overcome your fears and worries, and become confident in your ability to give birth. At the heart of everything we do is a calling to serve and we would love to assist you during this momentous time.

Prenatal Sessions:
The prenatal sessions are designed to help you become informed and confident about your pregnancy and the childbirth process, and to build a relationship with your doula. Your doula will meet with you and your partner to go over the childbirth process, different stages of labor, comfort measures, and assist you in developing a birth plan.
Labor Support:
Your doula will provide continuous emotional and physical support to you during labor. She will make use of various time-tested techniques to enhance your labor and minimize your pain. She will make suggestions as labor progresses and help with relaxation, light massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort. She will encourage, educate and provide emotional support to your partner and family so that they may participate at their comfort level and according to your wishes.
Postpartum Support:
Your doula will visit you in the hospital or your home shortly after birth. She will make sure that you feel comfortable with your healing and childcare abilities. She can assist with lactation advice. If needed, we have a great lactation consultant on call for an additional fee (to be determined on your and baby’s needs).
Placenta Encapsulation:
Jeanelle Coto, one of our doulas & Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, will pick up your placenta shortly after delivery, bring the necessary equipment to transport it, and will begin the process of encapsulation/tincture. Jeanelle is certified in blood borne pathogen safety and adheres to strict OSHA guidelines during the entire process of the encapsulation/tincture.
Dianne and Brigette were truly a blessing to me and my family! I had two previous births where I felt like what I wanted wasn’t heard and definitely was not executed. On November 20th 2017 Brigette made sure that my vision was seen through. She was so caring, so sweet, everything I needed to get me through my first natural birth. She wouldn’t let me give up. She was a rock star and made me feel like one when it was all said and done. They are forever a part of my family, I wish I had them 5 years ago for my first birthing experience.
